God Says: "Pam, Don't Worry!"

Philippians 4:6-7

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Pam, I think I know what you may be worried about. All I can say is...worry... never helps. Sometimes we find our faith and values tested on a personal level that we may not have expected. I know you will be a trooper as always!!

Pam I love this scripture. Whatever you are worrying about leave at the cross. Jesus has paid for all our worries, sins, etc.
I just finished a course that used a great book called Christ Preeminent Studies in Philippians by Theodore Epp.
It is a great book.
I am going to pray for you to feel comfort and worry not. May you be strong and comforted in the knowledge that God is in control.
Have a blessed day.

Pam, I am so glad I stopped by today. There is something I am worried/ distraught over today, and this verse, along with the ones Connie shared with us yesterday, are going to get me through this day. Thanks for sharing, and I will pray that whatever is worrying you be OK.

It is good for us to remember who God chose to pen these words. It wasn't someone who had it all rosy and everything sunshine. It was the beloved Apostle Paul who suffered and was tried much more than we ever will be. The peace of God that passes understanding. That peace that comes only by the fruit of the spirit. And Praise God He gives it, not in spite of the storm, but in the midst of the storm!!!

My mind was full of worries the other day because of health concerns. I finally did turn to God and I now feel a heavy weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

You're not alone. God is always there (as well as your blogging friends).

I like that "...shall keep your hearts and minds..." Don't you feel like sometimes when you're in a trial that you'll lose your mind?? I've felt that many times but God is always sufficient to keep his promise!

It is interesting that this verse says we are to let God know through prayer and supplication WITH thanksgiving our requests! We have the promise of God that He always answers our prayers when we seek His kingdom first. His will will always be done we just have to line our will up with His...that's the hard part sometimes! But when we understand that He desires to do good things for us and for our spiritual growth and that He guards us fiercely His children, we can rest knowing that He does only good for us. We do good for our children because we love them...how much more He does for us. Thank you for this reminder, Pam, and you are in my prayers!

Amen Sis!! Worry is sin and is nothing short of lack of faith. Keep meditating on that Scripture and quote it often to be encouraged. I'm praying for you Sis!!!

Praying that as you cast your cares/concern on Him that you will be filled with His peace. This has been a verse that is particularly dear to my heart (especially lately).
Thank you, by the way, for your kind words about my new bloggie look. I appreciated that.
