Belated, but Great Florida Homeschool News!

March 30, 2007Florida:

Governor Issues Homeschool Proclamation!

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,

Good news! Governor Charlie Crist has issued a proclamation to celebrate the contribution of homeschooling in Florida. To our knowledge, there has never been a proclamation by a governor in Florida celebrating homeschooling. Regina Hicks of FPEA worked with HSLDA to draft the proclamation for the governor. Regina then contacted the governor's office to secure this proclamation. We urge all homeschoolers in Florida to widely distribute this proclamation and celebrate homeschooling during the designated week, April 1-7, 2007. To review or print the proclamation go to,

Christopher J. Klicka
HSLDA Senior Counsel

Excuse me, my geniuses-to-be are putting lipstick on fishies...Gotta go!

How cool! I have lived in a few states and rarely have seen support for home schooling.
Florida Governor is a great American!!!
