I Timothy 2:1 & 2 " I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessons, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."

I couldn't sleep last night but that's okay. It afforded me time to be in prayer. Some of my prayer requests at present are listed below. Feel free to join me and lift these before the Lord.

Agustin - safety, testimony at work, painful knee, fluency in English, ability to communicate, time to smell the flowers
Joshua - safety, walk with the Lord, come into contact with those who will sincerely mentor him, remain pure, wait for the proper godly young lady
Shane - safety, eating habits, apply himself in his schoolwork, for his future wife
Mom & Dad - health issues, ministry
Me - arthritis & other health issues, discernment, priorities , preparations for Thanksgiving Day
My sister & her family - comfort during the holidays away from loved ones, an assurance of the Father's love, safety in far away Venezuela, spiritual lives, Rita's recuperation from her surgery, for her to remain skin-cancer free, all of their health, financial supply, healthy marriage, open doors for evangelism
Brian, Jackie, Elena - general health, financial supply, for Jackie & Elena to get over their colds quickly, open doors for evangelism, ability to adapt to the culture in Paraguay, good times in the Word
My brother John - health, safety, encouragement from other Christians, priorities
Authority Figures - President, World Leaders, etc.
My Pastor & his family - general health, financial supply, a sense of Christ's love, see souls saved in their ministry, time to smell the flowers
My friends & relatives, and so many more things I can't list them all!

I'd like to share a written prayer I came across recently which I hope reflects the desires of my heart.

"A Puritan Prayer"
O God of the highest heaven,
occupy the throne of my heart,
take full possession and reign supreme,
lay low every rebel lust,
let no vile passion resist Thy holy war;
manifest Thy mighty power,
and make me Thine forever.
Thou art worthy to be praised with my every breath,
loved with every faculty of soul,
served with my every act of life,
O help me then to walk worthy of Thy love.

Thanks once again to Jackie Jo Vernoy McCobb for the cuteness of my blog! She had a streak of inspiration tonight! (Sat.) I told her to surprise me and she did so very pleasantly!
