Friday's Show and Tell!

I feel like I'm in kindergarten again! Kelli, http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/, hosts a Friday "Show and Tell" each week. This is my first time to participate. I really enjoy surfing the names left on the list, to see what neat and unusual things pop up for show and tell! Hope you find the time to take part. Enjoy!

Several weeks ago, Mrs. B over at http://www.cherishthehome.blogspot.com/, showed us a wonderful idea. Being a "Keeper At Home", she said she has to use her dish detergent so many times during the day. Rather than leaving the plastic bottle sitting out on her counter, she bought an olive oil cruet to put her soap in. This way it can sit out for easy access and not look "ugly"! I LOVED her idea and followed suit. These photos are of my "dish soap" dispenser which I too use all through out the day. I ordered mine from Southern Living at Home because the colors match my decorating scheme so well! It is hand painted by Gail Pittman and I just love seeing it through out the day. I love the swirly design and stripes so much!

What a wonderful idea. I love the colors, and yes so much more appealing than the container dish detergent comes in.

Pam, what a wonderful and creative post.

I agree with Trella, in that I love the colours and is a pleasant focus in your kitchen and a novel way for its contents.

Memo: to oneself, must buy detergent in liquid form and not in tablets - which block my dispenser!!

Have a good day.

I love this post, and I LOVE the decanter. It's beautiful, how creative. I thought about doing Friday Show and Tell...but don't know what to Show...? Maybe I'll try it. Looks like fun.

Love your choice with the color and design. Great idea. Glad you're going to be interviewed by me. I'll wait and see if some others join you and Myrna. I think this Interview post got buried because of the Passport post.

I love the idea! I have been putting my dish soap in a pretty hand soap dispenser( that you buy with the flowers on) But this is so much nicer!

Great idea. My dishwashing liquid is built into my counter, but I use a bottle similar to that to keep my handlotion by the sink!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I plan on reading through your blog when I have more time. I love your show and tell idea. My mother-in-law did the same thing and it makes so much sense.

What a great idea!!! I have also seen little aprons that people made for their dish soap bottle. I like your idea though.

I do the same thing. I also do this with the hand lotion in the bathroom, putting it in a decorative soap "squirter" over on the toilet top (so as not to get confused with the soap).

it looks like your taste! And notice the spotless counters in your kitchen! Why did you get all the "neat" genes?

Hey...that is a cool idea!!! I keep my dish soap bottle under the sink and have to bend down to get it each time I wash dishes. I'd not thought about putting it in something like this in order to dispense it into the sink. Thanks for sharing this idea with us. Your dispenser is very nice and colorful.

That a neat little dispenser. I'll have to find something to show and tell for next week. :)

I love this idea, Pam. I have one I use for olive oil. If I borrow your idea, I must make sure to use a different color dispenser or my hubby might use the wrong one when he cooks.

Olive oil thingy.

I like that.

I use a liquid soap dispenser, but it gunks up.

I sense a shopping trip coming on.
