I also am a sunrise. In the Spring and Summer it is the dang Blue Jays screaming outside my window that wake me up around 6:30 am. In the Fall and Winter, it is the Crows and Sea Gulls fighting with each other that wake up. So I guess that the Birds just don't want to see me enjoy a late morning in bed.

Well if one is honest - you did say that you and your father were up at 2am - hence "Sunrise"!!
I was also Sunrise, but I really am a morning person.
