Kelli's Show and Tell Friday!!!
In the photo you will see some Mexican pottery that my grandpa Booker bought years ago! I was told he was always purchasing things from a catalogue company called "Old Time Mexican Pottery". My grandpa is in heaven, but when I look at these pieces in my home, I think of him fondly. I have them displayed in my kitchen, above my cabinets. My Aunt Tommie had these pieces in her possession until 7 years ago; that's when she relinquished them to me! She thought since I had married a true live Mexican, that I would be the perfect choice to give them to. *giggles*
Please click on the photo to enlarge it. I love the colorful patterns, don't you?
Did you notice the round piece with a lid has the word "MEXICO" painted on it? It also has a handle on the back, but you can barely notice it in this picture. I had taken these down to wash during my spring cleaning and thought, "Hey, I need a photo of these for Kelli's Show and Tell!
Happy Mother's Day ladies!

I never heard about these!
Nice!! Being from New Mexico I appreciate things like this very much. The one looks like a tortilla warmer. Is it?

How wonderful that your grandpa's treasured items are now in your safe hands to cherish too.
I am fascinated by the designs and the colours reach out-to-you.
May they always retain a special place in your heart also.
Those are beautiful! They would match well here. Our floor is all mexican tile.

They are beautiful, Pam. The colors are so rich and happy. I know you must be so proud of them. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY. connie from Texas
I love this..my daughter is married to a true live Mexican :) She is learning the ways of his family. It's quite different from the Dutch. She's doing well as a new bride with the Mexican traditions. She makes some mean Mexican food. I am proud of her.
They're really beautiful. I can see why you wanted to show them.

I love pottery--and these pieces are beautiful!
Beautiful pottery! I had to go get a vase I have and compare with yours. The colors look similiar but the design is different.
Your pottery is beautiful. What a treasure.
Thanks for stopping by my place for show and tell yesterday. I have visited here before but I guess it has been awhile.
Oh, I love these! My mom was born (and lived most of her single days) in Albuquerque. I grew up with many Mexican pieces (pottery, blankets, etc.) around the home. Your pieces are beautiful ~ and so sentimental! :o)
