Habitat for Humanity Partners with Planned Parenthood

Habitat for Humanity, a Christian ministry dedicated to building houses for the poor, is helping Planned Parenthood open an abortion clinic in Sarasota, Fla., according to news reports.

In order to get around local zoning regulations, Planned Parenthood sold space to Habitat for Humanity for $10. The Sarasota City Commission approved the plan this month.

Daniel Weiss, senior analyst for media and sexuality at Focus on the Family Action, said he was disappointed by Habitat’s actions.

“It's unfortunate and more than a bit maddening that an organization so widely respected for helping those in need would turn its back on the most defenseless among us — the preborn,” he said.
