HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST LITTLE SISTER EVER!

Rita (Jungle Mom) back in the day!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
That would be my cute, little, redheaded sister who goes by the moniker of Jungle Mom on her wonderful blog. She is a great mom, smart, politically savvy, well learned, sarcastic, a speed reader, a conference speaker. Speaks three languages my last count. Has taught college courses and is a highly sought after conference speaker. She graduated early. Attended college early. Married early. Had her first baby early. Lived abroad early. Became a grandma early. Has lived a life of adventure, thanks to her husband's influence! When I use the word early here, I mean that she did all this at a young age and way before I did any of it! I don't even try to compete with her anymore. I think I gave that up years ago. She is one accomplished woman who knows well who she is and has no identity crisis. I just hope that today, while celebrating her 22nd birthday for the 22nd time, she remembers who taught her so well---forcing her to sit attentively in front of my chalkboard which hung so proudly on our dining room wall! Forcing her to play school each and everyday of her young childhood!
(Actually, she loved every minute of it! There was no forcing involved! I think SHE forced her doll babies and stuffed animals to attend as well though!)

Wow! Great accomplishments. Happy Birthday Jungle Mom!
And, don't worry, Pam, I'm sure you have made great accomplishments as well. We are all just gifted in different ways.

That was so sweet.
I do remember playing school everyday. You taught me to read before kindergarten, you know!
And sadly, I repaid your kindness by destroying your dolls while you were away at school. Do you remember, I wrote all over your baby dolls and cut the hair of your Barbies?
So sorry...

Happy Birthday!!!! =)

Playing school, so cute!! I always wished I had a sister to play school with, and I always loved watching my oldest daughter "teach" school. She actually still plays school with them, although she wouldn't admit it around her friends!! =) All the dolls and stuffed animals also attend, along with her little sister and brothers. =)

Who doesn't love playing school? I used to love playing it but my little brothers and sister didn't. I hope she had a nice birthday. My birthday is comming up soon too. And to answer your comment back: I didn't know that you lived in Florida! I bet you saw a lot of Steeler and Cardinal Fans. I wanted to go but living in New Mexico with tons of sibblings doesn't get you to the game easily. Good game though. Tell your son that if a 14/15 year old can watch the Wiggles, than he can too. It just makes one unique to like something that not a lot of people know or like.

Pam

Wonderful for Rita.

Now to you. I am a younger sister, and am in awe of her today as I was when I was her baby that she would push around in the stroller(I was five and she was 11).

So often we overlook our traits and abilities as not worth merit...when the world sees it all.

Mind you, you are humble.
