Heavenly Father,

We pray today that Americans will be energized and infused with power as they see Your provision for our country’s needs. We are a wealthy country; we provide much of the world’s bounty and our resources bless the entire planet. God, as we prepare for the President Elect Obama’s administration to be ushered in, may we pray in unity for our nation to be blessed so we may better meet the needs of our people and remain a beacon of light and prosperity to the world. We ask this according to Your will, in the mighty name of Christ, amen.

It was a happy day for him when he gave us our new lives, through the truth of his Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family. JAMES 1:18 LB

Thanks for the reminder of how important it is to pray for our soon-to-be leader and our country.

By the way, you've won the gift on my blog. Please stop by and give me your snail mail address so that I can send you the gift.

I actually got in an arguement with a nurse last night (originally from India) who'd worked in Detroit and kept saying how poor the people in our country were. How they stole the hospital gowns cuz they had no clothes, and how terrible the economy was that so many had no jobs.

I told her. We're rich by the world's standards. Really rich. And we Americans have no reason to complain.

That's right Mighty Mom! Also, I've noticed that our young people are being brain washed as to how bad things are in our country, economically speaking! They all have ipods, cell phones, most have their own cars at 16, a decent home to live in, I could go on with my list of blessings!! You get the picture I'm sure! The media hype about the gloom and doom topics, added to what many professors are spewing, is taking away something awesome from our kids. The joy of living in a big, free country is now lost on them.
