"Ode to a Summer Cold"

Here is a cute poem I read on a fellow bloggers site and I failed to record the blog name or address. I'm happy I did get her name included here though!

June 7th, 2007
by Barbara H.

To the tune of “Do Your Ears Hang Low?”

Oh, my nose, it runs

At most inconvenient times
Leaving overflowing trash cans
Filled with tissues full of slime.
It’s become a drip-o-matic.
My condition still is static!
Oh, my nose, it runs.

Oh, my head is filled
With such pressures in my sinus
And such fogginess of brain.
And my energy is minus.
Who’d have thought a simple head cold
Could cause scheduling to implode?
I’m ready for a nap.

An original composition.

Have you been following me around today? I am a runny nose person!

BTW I heard this song a different way...My mom of all people taught it to me.

I think that this was so cute..It has made my allergies/cold very funny.
