You see, I'm helping my mom and a fellow church member plan and execute a special SURPRISE celebration! We'll be honoring my dad's forty two years as a faithful servant in ministry. Things are coming together wonderfully, except for the little dvd I'm trying to produce with Window's Movie Maker. It's fun but I want it to be cohesive. I need to narrate some parts of it. I'm getting a little stressed! Guests are coming in from all over the United States. We have video clips from family members and friends who can't make it. We have several special speakers lined up to speak live. Dad doesn't know any of this! Please pray that this huge project will come together nicely for us.
We've been living in the mission's apartment at my dad's church for the past week. I felt I needed to be on site to get some big projects done. Dad thinks we're hanging around the place, helping out because the church's Homecoming celebration is on Sept. 27th. His party is the 26th, but as I said, he doesn't know that yet!! Bwhaaaa!
Below are a couple of photos I'll be including in the dvd.
Pam - in the checkered outfit, Mom - has the big hair, Dad - tall and handsome, Rita - cute dimples and piggytails, Johnny - cuter dimples!

Wow! That's a big project you're working on! I just finished a similar project for my mom, whose birthday is today, so I know how much work it is! I will pray that things come together easily for you. Congratulations to your dad and your family on this celebration, and to your church also!!!

I think it's so nice that you're busy and not on the blog as often. When life happens in the real world, there's more to reflect on and write about here.
Good to touch base here with you.
Praying all goes well. Sorry and disappointed we won't be able to attend. Look for 3 cards to come to your home for your Dad. Mailing them tomorrow.
I didn't realize you were older than Rita....and I thought y'all were closer in age!!
how cute you all look in that pic.
WOW! dad was handsome! And check out Mom's beehive? Clint says I look like her here! And weren't we all so cute? Johnny looks like he is up to something tho! I look shy, which is ...ironic. And you look like the Saintly Big Sister you were!
What sweet pictures. I just can't imagine what a great surprise this will be for your sweet Dad. I know you are putting so much into this. I'd love to see your slideshow after it's all done and the party is over.
We still love you so go do the stuff you gotta do. We're here when you can visit.

Thought Id let ya know that my husband did 2 guest posts for me that I know you especially would probably be interested in reading. They are short posts but they are about his thoughts on politics in the US as well as our Healthcare here in Canada.

What a great celebration to plan!
Oh Pam. That dress. Oh, oh, oh Pam. Wow. I mean WOW.
Sounds like you are busy, but with such a special project!
Hope it all turns out great!
Wow, you certainly are busy, but what a wonderful busy. I'm sure your dad will be so surprised and love all of the work you put into it. It's easy to be too busy to post on our blogs. Blogs are a lot of fun, but there are more important things in life. God bless you, Pam. I'm looking forward to hearing about the surprise and seeing some photos.
Why did big hair go out of style? BTW, you want to talk dusty? I went ten months between posts at my blog.
